Product Design & Consultancy
We specialise in electronic, electrical and mechanical innovative product design and development. We have a great deal of skill and many years of experience in engineering and product design. We are able to take an initial sketch and design a new product in close consultation with the inventor or design a small component for a product. We look for ways to make a product unique and can offer advice on applying for patents and other intellectual property. We can also assist in updating products in line with current legislation and changes in technology.
Products are designed with manufacturing & shipping in mind, we have significant experience of product assembly and manufacturing so will offer advice and guidance on routes to manufacturing as well as ensuring the product can be manufactured for the lowest cost possible. We do prefer to support UK manufacturing however we have extensive experience of manufacturing in China and can advise on this if required.
CAD – SolidWorks
Engineering design solutions are a strength and we have many years’ experience in solving engineering design problems for electrical, mechanical and electronic products. We have extensive experience of CAD using SolidWorks. Many of our product design projects have focused on tooling products ready for injection moulding, extrusion or casting as well as new product development.
3D Printing
Prototypes are often 3D printed and we have established links with 3D printing companies to ensure a fast turnaround of prototypes. We are also able to design obsolete components and 3D print the components resulting in a fast solution to a component problem.
Product Design Consultancy Costs
All product design consultancy starts with the completion of a non disclosure agreement and we schedule regular meetings during the design process. Our product design consultancy prices start at £100 per hour and each project is quoted based on the project requirements. We offer an initial 15 minutes telephone consultation free of charge. Product design & consultancy hours are billed monthly and we will give you advance notification if the project will take longer than initially agreed.
